Stage 2 correction is suited for cars with moderate swirl marks and light scratches – this involves 2 different polishes and pad combinations; the first step involves a cutting (abrasive) compound that removes imperfections such as swirl marks, light scratches, and moderate paint defects. This is followed by a finishing polish and pad to refine the paintwork further by removing marring or holograms. Finally, paint sealant is applied to protect the paintwork.
